Alderan Domain
The Alderan Domain is the area of the Galaxy directly under the governance of the Alderan Council.
Ruled by a Council of Nobles, High Marshals, Corporations and Imperial officials, the Domain is an empire within the Imperium, where no Imperial official can act without going through the Council. It establishes its own laws, levies it own taxes and armies and decides on its own military interventions.
Structure
The Domain is ruled from the Capital World of Alderan IV and its Council of 500 representatives. From the Concilian Palace are written the laws and edicts presiding over the general direction of all Alderan worlds.
Each individual planet still benefits from a certain level of Autonomy, under the rule of a Duke or Marquis while geographical expanses and cities will be ruled by countesses and barons. The hierarchy of ranks ensure that every ounce of land from the Domains is under the direct supervision of one of the Alderan Houses, and sees no hope of escaping it.
Interlinked with the power of the noble Houses are the influences of the Corporations and the Autonomous Territories of the Order of the Holy Blade and the Three Forges

Histoire
Most scholars agree that the Alderan Domain was founded on the planet Euroa by Forus Alderan in the late M29.
Forus Alderan is said to have organised the warring factions of Euroa before leading them in a campaign to reunify its solar system before extending its reach over the nearby stars. By its death, his world and system of origin were renamed in its honour and the Council was established to rule in its stead.
During the following millenia, Alderan would extend its reach before getting in touch and eventually submitting to the Imperium of Man .
