Dinistri Gwared (Din-es-tree Gwar-ed)

Dinistri Gwared, thief, highwayman, robber. Equal opportunity bandit. Dinistri took from the poor and the wealthy as he pleased. He usually operated alone, and would devise cunning methods to halt a party and dissuade any would be heroes from attempting to stop him.
He usually rode a horse, but the descriptions his victims gave seemed to indicate that he rarely rode the same beast more than once or twice. Speculation of course wandered to a man with a stable full of the beasts, to a consummate horse thief, to allies and supporters. No actual facts are known in this regard.
His preferred loot was coin and jewelry, items easy to carry and easy to hide or exchange. Occasionally, a ring or a necklace taken by him would appear for sale in some market or shop, but these places were spread widely, making it impossible to trace the path the item took from thief to shop.
Do not start romanticizing this highwayman. If people gave up their belongings peacefully, they were allowed to depart. Those that attempted to fight back, be it farmers, or passengers, or even guards, soon found themselves beaten and bloodied. Dinistri had no qualms about delivering a strong response to anyone foolish enough to resist. No deaths at his hands are known with surety, but there are plenty of cases of broken limbs, missing teeth, and lopped off ears or fingers to attest to his brutality.
As to his motive, most agree it was simple greed, perhaps with a measure of challenge threaded through. No widows were saved from penury by his gifts, no orphans found homes, no poor peasant, or indigent cripple received from him any increase in their means.

Victims report he appeared to be in good physical condition. His skin was tanned, but healthy, his teeth were present and intact. No obvious illnesses or injuries.

A narrow face with green eyes framed by black lashes. His lips were narrow, his teeth white, and his ears seemed a bit larger than normal.
