1st Wabrook Mountain Lions

this is a local Company sized militia group that is approximately 120 soldiers strong. It is broken down into 10 groups of 12. They fall under direct control of the governor of the Great mountains district. They are considered light infantry; this is due to the fact that the surrounding terrain does not work well with Heavy. They have leather armor, helmet, spear and shield. lower enlisted can wear a dagger if they choose. The men all train at basic level and by the same standards as the rest of the army. They all have special training in alpine and mountain tactics. Each member of the militia is paid 1/2 the normal wage but they are only on duty once every 3 months. If a call goes out for war, they immediately activate and get normal pay. They all work their normal daily jobs, except in the summer months where they activate and go on campaign with the regular Army. The King has not campaigned in several years, so discipline and training is at an all low. The noncommission officers wear the same armor but wear a sword instead of a spear. The NCOs are picked from local men that show promise in the ranks. The usually are profession soldiers and work all year round. The officers are assigned by the King for a 1-year post. They usually do not want to be here, so they idle their time away waiting for reassignment. Most of the militia are not from the local populace. They are merc or individuals that want to join the army.
