The Myth of Zhangjia the Jade

Zhangjia the Jade was a powerful and feared dragon who ruled over the lands of the Dragon Isles with an iron fist. Known for her fierce temper and her love of jade and treasure, Zhangjia was feared by both mortals and dragons alike. As the legend states:

Zhangjia was said to have been born with a heart of jade, and to have been blessed with the ability to control the very earth itself. She was able to move mountains and create rivers with a single thought, and to command the forces of nature with ease.   Despite her great powers, Zhangjia was a ruthless and cruel dragon, who cared only for her own gain. She hoarded jade and treasure, and would stop at nothing to acquire more. She was known to have destroyed entire villages and kingdoms in her pursuit of wealth, and to have slain countless dragons who stood in her way.   But despite her many conquests, Zhangjia's reign was not meant to last. As the years passed, she grew more and more obsessed with her hoard, and began to neglect her duties as a ruler. She spent all of her time locked away in her jade palace, counting and sorting her riches, and ignoring the needs of her people.   And so it was that the up-and-coming dragons of the Dragon Isles rose up against Zhangjia, and cast her down from her throne. They stripped her of her power and her hoard, and banished her to the furthest reaches of the land. Thus began a new era of the Dragon Isles.   Zhangjia was never seen again, and her fate remains a mystery to this day. Some say that she wandered the land in search of a new hoard, while others believe that she was killed by her enemies. But no matter what became of her, her legend lives on, and her name is still spoken with fear and awe by those who remember the days of her rule.
