The Myth of Zavindjin the Purple

Zavindjin the Purple was a legendary dragon who was renowned for his wisdom, his knowledge, and his insatiable curiosity. As the legend states:

He was a great seer and diviner, and spent much of his life studying the mysteries of the mortal realm and the beyond. He was said to have possessed the ability to see into the future, and to have known the secrets of the past. While a member of the Dragon Ascendancy, Zavindjin did not rule or reign over any region or people, but instead was a constant advisor to the other members.  Despite his great powers and abilities, Zavindjin was known to be a kind and gentle dragon, who sought only to help those who needed it. He was said to have assisted many mortals in their time of need, and to have provided them with guidance and support when they needed it most.   But despite his many virtues, Zavindjin was not without his flaws. He was said to have been consumed by his curiosity, and to have often ventured into dangerous and unknown places in search of knowledge and secrets. Some say that it was this obsession that ultimately led to his downfall, and to the great calamity that befell the Dragon Isles.   The legend of Zavindjin tells that he disappeared right before Dragonfall, and that his fate remains a mystery to this day. Some say that he was killed by a great and powerful enemy, while others believe that he simply vanished into the beyond, in search of knowledge that no mortal could ever hope to understand.   But no matter what has become of Zavindjin, his legend lives on, and his name is still spoken with reverence and awe by those who remember the days before Dragonfall. He is remembered as a great and powerful dragon, who sought to understand the mysteries of the world, and who helped those in need. And though he may be gone, his legacy lives on primarily by the actions of the Shards of Zavindjin, and those curious souls who seek to understand the greater meaning of the world.
