Bawiti

Demographics

The village of Bawiti consists of Solely Egyptians. Many of the people who are born there will grow up, marry, and die there. Very few people move or leave the village and know little of the world outside of Egypt.

History

The village's history is limited and unknown to American as the village has nothing of interest to them. The first person of the Daddario Family(organization:89621629-5684-41f5-8fab-0768864cfe88) to discover the town was [Alex Daddario after a failed mission in Cairo. She hides out there as she was hunted down by the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate.   The second American to discover the village is Elizabeth "Debicki" Leonhart during her Valkeryie/Lion Guard training. After being abandoned 55 miles within the Sahara desert, she figures out her location and travelers eastward in hopes of finding Cairo. Instead, she found Bawiti but was unable to communicate with the villagers. However, after a short escape from kidnappers, she manages to find a woman with four children who are willing to take her to Cairo in return for a new life in America. Debicki agrees and they arrive in Cairo by night. Debicki passes her Valkeryie/Lion Guard test and helps the woman relocate to Dovahnor.

Tourism

Bawiti does receive much tourism as the town is incredibly poor and only has one sightseeing location. Due to the high rates of poverty, any tourists in the area are likely to be robbed or kidnapped for ransom and so the village is avoided for those touring through Egypt.

Geography

Bawiti is very flat and lays on the very edge of the Sahara desert. The village was created around the Bawiti oasis and is 382km outside of Cairo, Egypt. The village itself has very little in the way of greenery as the village leaders have disallowed building within the Oasis that provides water for the entire village.   The second most notable landmark is the Bawiti Salt Lake which can only be viewed at a distance to avoid pollution through tourism.

Natural Resources

Bawiti has one of the best oases at the edge of the Sahara desert which are far and few between. The town has no other natural resources aside from sand and dirt.
