A period of relative peace in DesCha, when the Overseers closed off Earth to prevent interdimensional tearing in the DesChaverse

The Interim is an event that lasted between May 2008 and February 2013, where a tear that threatened the DesChaverse required the Overseers to close off Earth from the rest of the connected worlds, to preserve stability. The closure was meant to be permanent, but forces outside the DesChaVerse forced the Overseers to reconnect Earth, albeit with more stringent controls.   h4. Effects   During this time DesCha enjoyed relative peace, with nothing significantly supernatural or world-threatening happening beyond standard world events. All traffic through the dimensional city of [[Nexus]] halted, and the city's population dwindled.
