Certainly there are stout fighters, mighty magic-users, wily thieves, and courageous clerics who will make their mark with the help of benevolent or malicious deities. You however, are above even the greatest of these, for as Thentiem you are to become the Shaper of the Cosmos. It is you who will give form and content to the all the universe. You will breathe life into the stillness, giving meaning and purpose to all the actions which are to follow.

The question of what was before the creation of the universe, is one that has troubled many scholars. Theories about explosions of energy, transference of life's essence from other universes and even the theory of a mysterious monster with long straw-like appendices made from minced meat have circulated among certain circles. The most prominent and accepted theory is that of a being of unfathomable power, one with abilities and influence that are beyond what any immortal or mortal being can attain. It is said that if all the books in the entire world were to be used, the entirety of his knowledge would still fail to be contained. It is also said that the strength of Thentiem is so great, where if even all the immortals and mortals of the world could gather and combine their power, Thentiem would still be able to win just with a simple gesture. He is widely thought as The Creator, he who has instilled life into the universe. His existence is accepted by scholars and historians despite the fact that there has never been any documented appearance. Few things are known about Thentiem but the following are undisputed truths, written in documents, ones that are ancient as time:

• Thentiem is omniscient and his words will linger to the end of time.
• Thentiem is omnipotent and his wrath will fall upon the unjust.
• Thentiem is omnipresent and he can see across all realms.
• Thentiem is omnifarious and can be found within everyone.
• Thentiem is omnific and he should be worshiped unquestionably.

These facts are well documented in a scroll, known as Curriculum Vitae, which unfortunately has been lost in the passage of time and is only referenced by scholars in their work, most of them long dead and forgotten. There is a group of conspiracy theorists, who as they are wont to do, theorize that the whole wide world is a figment of Thentiem's imagination and that life doesn't actually have any impact, a theory disputed by the vast majority of researchers as a fickle idea, at best.
