Selmover Vehicle in The Denary Realms | World Anvil

Selmover

Power Generation

The Selmover is powered by a Sihkern which provides movement to the four wheels. The Sihkern is sealed within an enclosed environment and through the use of a lever more or less magic energy is allowed to flow within the core.

Propulsion

The Selmover driving system consists of two levers. One is used to regulate the flow of magic and thus the speed of the vehicle while the other controls the direction of the wheels, allowing the vehicle to turn.

Weapons & Armament

The Selmover has many uses but it is extensively used in military operations due to its speed and ability to operate in harsh conditions. Usually the carriage is retrofitted with holes through which soldiers can fire arrows or even other weapons or even spellcasters who can use magical spells against their enemies.

Armor and defense

When used in conflicts, the Selmover has double and triple armor on the carriage and around the wheels. The driver is also inside a small cabin with a window encircling him that allows to check his environment.   Some Selmovers are also equipped with blades on the wheels or even spikes that disallow enemies from climbing on them.

Communication Tools & Systems

When the pilot is in a cabin, he or she communicates through a small opening with the passengers as the armor makes it hard for sound to come through.

Hangars & docked vessels

Selmovers are able to stop on any level surface as long as the thrust lever is on a position that doesn't allow any magic energy to flow inside the core.
