The currently famous fortifications that protect all of the Merinos Coasts are built.

After their victory during the Second Coast War, the leaders of the Merinos City-state were desperate to show the world the strength of their trading empire, as much as they wanted to ensure the security if their territory.   The construction of the Fortification managed to do both. This construction of the largest fortress ever created, along with a most impressive magical arsenal, became the main illustration of the strength of this trading empire.   The construction required goods from all over the Cylinder, as well as a the unprecedented use of over two million workers from all species, for more than 20 years.
