Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Most Bluiceans require living environments where they are completely submerged underwater. Though there are rumors of coastal Bluiceans who live in the shallows and dive deeper underwater only for food and re-hydration, none such rumors have been confirmed and are considered a myth.
There are both salt water and fresh water Bluiceans, and while it is possible for the two types to cross into each other's environments, it is a gradual and somewhat painful process for the necessary biological transformations to occur. (?)

Facial characteristics

Eyes can be any color in the visible light spectrum, but are most commonly warm colors, occasionally cool colors, and rarely complimentary to their skin (orange). Rarest eye color of all is any shade of blue. Cool-colored eyes are considered the loveliest, especially blue eyes of any shade. Complimentary orange eyes are seen as lovely, too, but other warm colors are seen as commonplace.
More circular, rounded forehead crest and mindstone design/shape.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

• Sees in full blue color spectrum, plus some purples and reds. Blues stand out the brightest and have an otherworldly shimmer to them.
• second, transparent eyelid for seeing underwater
• breathes underwater and echo-locates similar to whales and dolphins
• Water manipulation and creation (some plant and [purple element] manipulation possible, too)
• invisibility to all non-Bluiceans/accessibility to the Bluicean "plane of existence" via the blue wavelength of light
• color-changing abilities related to blue pigment and blue light

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Skin coloring can be any shade of blue, and hair is a lighter shade of blue for darker skin; a darker shade of blue for lighter skin; and either dark, light, a combination, or (rarely) the same shade as the skin for medium skin.
Each individual Bluicean will have their own unique body markings, but all are generally more rounded and circular in shape/style.
