The Cathanti Bridgehome
While their more intelligent predecessors still wander the land as nomads, building homes that are easily taken down and transported, the Cathanti have found an alternative means of shelter. Beneath the bridges all across Venathel hang the homes of the Cathanti, buildings made mostly of stone and decorated with the bones of the fallen, both friend and foe. While it may seem these homes were built by the cathanti themselves, they are actually a part of the bridge, which is a living creature, a sort of stone golem which the cathanti worship as a god. As such, the crossing of a bridge is seen as a sacred practice, and any disrespect of the tradition typically ends in the traveler's death.
Purpose / Function
To house the Cathanti while they protect and maintain the bridge.
Design
The size of each room varies depending on the size of the golem upon which the home is built, though most homes support up to three rooms of about twenty square feet. The floors and ceiling are made of flattened stone, dependent on the material from which the golem is made, and the furniture carved from the same.
Entries
Most bridghomes only contain one door. The windows are wide enough to shoot an arrow through, but no wider.

Architecture
The outsides of the homes are adorned with the bones of the fallen, both friend and foe, in a way that seems to add to the structural integrity. The homes themselves tend to be round, like small hills. If you look close enough, you can find symbols painted on the outer walls, which are used to denote possession. Inside, the furniture is made of carved stone or wood, depending on the material of the bridge.
History
These were all normal bridges until the opening of the first gate to Fey, which altered so many things in the world. Most bridges in the world became golems, and even those newly created in the world today eventually do the same.
