Disciples of Arkror, The Blood Warrior

The least common religion in the Empire, Arkror serves as a teacher more than a deity. His disciples believe only in what they can see, hear, and verify, and they are both very wary of and very interested in stories, especially from strangers. Most Blood Orcs follow Arkror as he is the hero of heroes in Blood Orc culture, but disciples can be found throughout the races, particularly in the Frozen Isles. While most of the disciples of Arkror are warriors, they are not generally hostile towards believers of other faiths, though they do tend to think the worship of unknowable gods is silly. They look down on believers of other faiths but tend to think it’s tacky to mock people for their beliefs so long as they aren’t hurting anyone with them. For this reason there can be some mild animosity towards the more zealous followers of Hyperion, but otherwise disciples of Arkror are the most tolerant of others, comparatively. Arkror’s disciples are generally seen as at least a little bit evil by outsiders, considering Arkror was the one who is said to have caused the Cataclysm by all accounts. But where others see death and destruction, the disciples only see change and evolution, the natural order of things but to the extreme. Arkror did not destroy the world like was promised, merely changed it. Many determine the legend says that the Stone of Ignus “Grants the Power of a God at the cost of the World as it is Known,” but Disciples of Arkror believe it says the stone “Changes the World with a Great and Noble Sacrifice.” So while outsiders see Arkror sacrificing everyone else to save himself, the Disciples believe he sacrificed himself to save others, namely the Blood Orcs who were being persecuted. Disciples of Arkror do not like stories but are rather fond of creating intricate dance patterns based on centuries of ritual.

Tenets of Faith

Tenets of Arkror Only tell the truth, do not create falsehoods or exaggerate. To lie is to denounce Arkror and spit in his face Always admit when you are wrong, there is no shame in being misled, only in misleading Believe only what you can see, or what those whom you trust have promised is true. Trust = someone who is proven to be trustworthy, hasn’t lied, tells the truth, records events and things accurately. Be skeptical of all things at all times Fight for/Defend what is yours Do not hurt the innocent Children, the feeble, elderly, and/or honorable Honorable = never caught in a lie, always defends the innocent, always passes on good and useful information in verifiable ways, doesn’t hurt anyone needlessly
