The Creedverse

The Creedverse is a fictional universe set in the late 19th century, specifically around the 1870s and 1880s, characterized by a blend of Wild West elements, steampunk aesthetics, and advanced technology. The setting is predominantly in the United States, with a focus on the Western frontier, including places like Santa Cruz and San Francisco in California.   Key Elements   Steampunk and Advanced Technology   The Creedverse is notable for its steampunk elements, where steam-powered machinery coexists with the Wild West setting. This leads to a unique juxtaposition of horse-drawn carriages, revolvers, and cowboy hats with automatons, mechanical devices, and advanced medical equipment. Auto Sapients are one of the prominent technological marvels in the Creedverse. They are humanoid automatons equipped with a range of functionalities and are capable of performing specialized tasks, including medical procedures.   Characters and Professions   The inhabitants of the Creedverse are diverse. From law enforcement officers like marshals and deputies, bounty hunters, outlaws, to doctors, inventors, shopkeepers, and nurses, characters bring depth to the setting. Some of them display traditional Wild West traits, while others are adapted to accommodate the advanced technology available in the Creedverse. Additionally, strong female characters challenge the traditional gender roles of the time.   Locations   Santa Cruz and San Francisco are among the prominent locations within the Creedverse. These towns and cities are depicted with a mix of historical accuracy and creative additions. For instance, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in the Creedverse is an earlier and alternate version of the real-world counterpart. The Southern Pacific Railroad connects various locations and is an essential part of transportation within the Creedverse.   Medicine and Science   In the Creedverse, medicine and science are more advanced than what was typical for the late 19th century. Doctors employ modern practices and equipment, such as anesthesia, surgical instruments, and clinics equipped with laboratories. Moreover, establishments like Atwood Clinic signify the integration of technology into healthcare.   Law and Order   The Creedverse incorporates traditional Wild West themes of law and order. Marshals, often called local marshals, and their deputies are responsible for maintaining peace within towns. Bounty hunters and outlaws are also common, and conflicts often arise due to the clash between law enforcement and criminals.   Community and Social Life   Community interactions and social life are essential aspects of the Creedverse. The settings include social hubs like saloons, bordellos, boardwalks, hidden bases, mercantile establishments, and clinics.
