The Grasping Vine

The business of Ansas the Dark is known as the Grasping Vine. It is a mention that he is an unusual mage who specializes in plant magics. Ansas is also well respected, if sometimes unliked within the local organization of mages in Ventri-Oas. They also make sure to provide the local nobility with resources to ensure their operation unfettered.
Ansas runs his business like a military regiment. There are three primary divisions within the organization. The newest group known as the expeditioneers, captained by the Evanis halfling Boun. The merchants, captained by the half-orc Goll. The hunters, captained by the human Nume.  
While most of the vine's activities are legitimate the methods are often brutal and mean. Where they are not legitimate it is usually in the trafficking of illegal substances, animals, or people. Ansas the Dark has a relationship with the Kyen Stonewall of Orala-Was for Intrac Jelly, and he is the main purveyor of the jelly within the realm of Gorel. Other avenues exist to move the jelly within other realms, but most locally go through the vine.

Culture

Whatever it takes, just don't be foolish. The culture isn't particularly welcoming but compensation is good. Those willing to work hard can make good money within the organization. Loyalty is valued above all else.

Assets

The tower Sylvan is the home base of the Grasping Vine, it has a functional embarkation tower for sky ships. They also operate two sky schooners with magically enchanted cargo holds.
