The Court of Stars

From different corners of the cosmos they rose-- one from a cradle of stardust, one from the shale of an endless pit, and one from the bones of a long-dead civilization. They shaped themselves anew in the vicious reality of the universe and then they partook of death, drank it until they could not be killed and only then did they join themselves against the thrum of their world. But they were not the only Gods who forged themselves anew; there were those who grafted metal to their skin, those who birthed their immortality from the dreams of a shattered following, and even those still who devoured the very essence of time itself to come out on the other side even more ravenous. The Court of Stars is not forgiving if you are weak, and so you must make yourself strong.
