The Renewed Railroad

"Can you believe we have to this kind of s#!% again?!"
— Percy Gaider, member of the Renewed Railroad

Structure

Unofficially, there is a three person leadership council. One coordinates the attacks within TrumpLand proper, one establishes contacts for safe passage throughout the rest of the United States and other corporate nations, and a final one coordinates the publicity and awareness of the modern slavery issue.

Public Agenda

The Renewed Railroad opposes all modern slavery, primarily focused on ending the slavery that is rampant in TrumpLand. They've allied with other organizations to also highlight slavery internationally, but utilize most of their resources to free slaves from TrumpLand.

Assets

Only having one office and one bunker headquarters in their actual name, the most valuable asset of the Renewed Railroad is an extensive network of people that are willing to aid them, with a couple extremely valuable contacts beyond the borders of TrumpLand.

History

There were rumors of slave labor in the couple years before the Founding Day Disappearances, but after that critical moment many felt there was no denying it. Americans across the continent were horrified, but were unable to act. Many had family there, even if they were in bondage, and the military was now much smaller and more spread out than it had ever been. It could only end in disaster to attack, and no outside influence could talk sense into TrumpLand’s rulers. However, some couldn’t be complacent.
Father Richard Yale, a priest who was ashamed of what his childhood home of Tampa had been reduced to, spoke to his fellow former Floridians about how to help. He found friends in Levi Cooper and Alex Peoples-Sung. Father Yale began to advocate in saving anyone that would be found in bondage. Levi covertly schemed to infiltrate the borders of TrumpLand, with his marine experience. Alex was well known as an actress who found it easy to convince others to support such a noble cause. That fall, Father Yale announced the cause of the Renewed Railroad.
In 2073, Levi went on what he described as a "routine" rendez-vous on the northeastern shores of TrumpLand. When he hadn't returned in a week, Father Yale and Alex knew he must be dead. Knowing that they worked best with their three-pronged offensive, it was then that the tradition of a public face, a people person, and a slave liberator was cemented into the organization.
In 2091, The United States recognized Alex, along with Father Yale and Levi posthumously, with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. TrumpLand responded with a scathing, erratic press conference, not recognizing the United States' allegations of slavery.
In 2127, Ivan Bloodsworth began developmental efforts to having the Renewed Railroad connect with other anti-slavery organizations internationally. Ivan publicly stated that awareness in North America was still part of their agenda, but the leadership recognized that TrumpLand was not alone in utilizing slave labor for their economy's benefit.
It's estimated that in the last decade, the Renewed Railroad aids in the emancipation of approximately 600 slaves annually. For the current leadership, that is not enough.

Set all people free from bondage.
