The third and final child adopted by his mothers, Pete lived an average life for a Delaeran. Although his older sister and brother excelled with the popular tech-focused toys for their country, Pete focused more on building blocks. As he got older, that focus changed to the building blocks of the universe as he excelled at Chemistry.
In college he found his people skills, being the one who organized study groups and social events. He was charming despite being a young man of few words. He let his mysterious air lead some of his classmates on, and his friendliness gather the rest of what many became life long friends. He continued on with his studies, getting a job offer first at Stanford as an Adjunct Professor. He was there long enough to meet the woman who would become his wife, Lola Swift.
When their first child was almost upon them, Pete received a call from his older sister. There was an opening from Delaera for a chemist to examine the materials that would be used for experiments on the space station. He felt he couldn't refuse the offer and moved his young family back to Delaera. He fell back into old friends easily, but soon Lola felt left out. Despite Pete trying his best to save his marriage, Lola moved back to California with their five year old son after Pete had accepted a promotion with the Outside Resources department.
Pete did his best to cure his grief pouring over his work, although he saved Sundays for long calls with his son, and made sure to visit for long weekends once a month. After a couple years, he found himself in as a Resource Executive. He began to travel around and found it easy to make deals as his natural people skills have never left him.
Last year, his son had grown tired of living with his mother and asked if he could come back to Delaera. Pete warned Winston that he would be gone, but of course the young man could not be talked out of it. Pete has tried to make more time to be back home so he can bond with his son, especially since he is having a hard time catching up with the Delaeran school's curriculum. Winston won't admit he regrets not taking his father's advice, but Pete can tell.
