John is almost always seen with a blue and red baseball cap on. When working he has pants with multiple pockets and either a tank top or a t-shirt. He's rarely seen with jackets, and has a surprising variety of crocs he takes with him.

Personal history
John remembers growing up with only a father, who was John Granite Echols. Since they were in Chimazon, they were given housing but it was meager family pod stations. John was lucky enough to excel in school and had a fondness for video programming.
Having excelled with his certifications, Snippets hired him as a videographer and editor. Most of what he was sent out to do was to collect stock footage, but as his career progressed he was fantastic with recording on the field for nature programs. He garnered notice from Snippets producers when he accidentally caught an indigenous person's protest near the Amazon Rainforest, and saw it squashed by the local governement. Snippets got a lot of views for that breaking stories.
Just recently he was transferred to work on The Long Take with Wade Bescript. They bounce off ideas with each other well enough from what the management sees.

Accomplishments & Achievements
The first The Long Take entry he worked on, The Revival of the Monarchs, was credited for it's engaging camera work when it came to following the migration of the Monarch Butterfly, and was nominated for several awards.
Failures & Embarrassments
Early on in his career, John is rumored is to seriously injure his leg thanks to enthusiastically chasing a caribou.
