Personal history
Hallie was lucky enough to be a part of the Kwong family in Fuyao Beimei, a family that had been established in the country since its formation. She and her two younger brothers were raised, doted on by not only their parents but their aunts and uncles. Early on, Hallie found herself connecting closely with her Uncle Isaac and her Aunt Na.
Hallie did occasionally have opportunities to study and travel to East Asia as she grew up, but everything was taught from attentive, highly educated tutors that followed her and her brothers. Hallie always felt most comfortable back home, loving the good attention from the adults in her life, and the routine established there.
Thanks to her connection to Na Dong, she was able to get a head start in the administrative team as an assistant to the distribution team for Fuyao Glass Industry Group in her home country. Although her relationship to the Chief Executive helped her climb up, she was still capable and competent with the tasks at hand. Within a couple decades she worked herself up to the Cheif Operations Officer.
During this time, Hallie got married to Xue Ye and had two children of her own, Tina and Gavin. Although over the years it's been obvious that Hallie has always adored Xue, she has been somewhat distant to her children. She speaks of them often, but it seems that Xue is the one with the more paternal instincts. Hallie hasn't even seemed to notice, even though everyone else has.
Most of the citizens and even those working in Fuyao Beimei's administrative teams thought that the investors would vote for Hallie Kwong in November of 2161. Hallie had not prepared, hoping to show no humility. It turns out instead that it would have been a waste of time, with the investors having selected Tao Lin instead. Hallie saved face in public as Tao too her Aunt Na's place. In December, those that had outwardly allied with Hallie saw their positions changed and moved around to positions where the opportunities for upward movement were diminished. Curiously, Hallie has still kept her position. No one truly know why, but there have been rumors.
