Eastern Continent

The Eastern Continent is the academic name given to the continent located to the east of the Great Continent. Dominated by the The Northern Kingdoms of the Eastern Continent covering its central and northern territory, it is opposed by the Empire of Morthos spreading from its southern shores.
Home to countless wonders, created by both man and God, its values are contested by waring factions in the name of profit, heritage and glory. The stories told of from these lands are as mighty as the divine hands which lifted it from the depths of the Vieled Sea.

Geography

An array of environments exist across the vast mass of land which comprises the boundaries of the continent. In the north, sharp peaks are frozen by a thick blanket of snow and ice. Without traditional season, calendars mark dry and wet seasons tied to the light and dark. Dense forests of pine and oak spread south and scatter across sprawling plains. Deep valleys cut their way through stone to carry powerful waters twisting around massive mountains and rolling hills. Dank swamps froth with dirt of riches from ancient volcanoes. Traditional, spring and summer to fall to winter seasons emerge, giving heat to land teeming with life.
Isolating the continent into two fragments is the Grand Partition, a mountain chain reaching the heavens blocks near complete transition from the two pieces except through the The Pass. South of the barrier the land grows dry, and desert vegetation spreads. Flat plains birth rock formations that rise from nothing, as if defying natural law. At the southern reaches of the continent, the climate grows tempered, forgoing freezing winters and embracing a humid summer.
