Eliana Amora
Centurion Eliana Amora (a.k.a. The Centaur)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Eliana looks much like most Zarnaban people, lithe and swarthy. Her legionnaire training has made her strong while her natural height allows her to stand out amongst her soldiers.
Body Features
Eliana was quite tall, being almost six feet tall with long legs, earning her the nickname the Centaur. Her skin was an olive tan with black tattoos on her forearms, some being legionnaire-issue and others being of her tribal design. While sporting her own share of muscle, Eliana was leaner and not quite as strong as her uncle, relying more on speed and dexterity to fight.
Facial Features
Eliana has a sharp face with a slightly large nose. Aside from that she is fairly plain looking, but quite fierce when commanding.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Eliana was born the only child to Spartacus Amora who was married to a member of his tribe and was the daughter of one of his nobles. She would receive a private education via tutors. Thanks to her father's rising position in the government, she was married at fourteen to the son of a noble from the House of Alarcii. A year later she would give birth to a son.
Despite this marriage, their marriage proved to be unhappy as she and her husband, Glover Alarcus had little love for each other. Not helping this was the fact that their son Julian was born deformed. Since both were now seen as adults during the time, they were drafted into the legions, though their differing social status meant they served in different positions. Eliana was assigned to the River Bog area where the Trepan Empire bordered the Untamed Lands. There she would face off against barbarians, orcs, and forest giants. Her skills with the sword and her dedication to duty were noted and she would soon be promoted to Centurion and eventually First Spear of the Legion. This was aided by her knowledge of barbarian fighting styles and weapons which often gave her legion the edge in battle.
Many expected that Eliana may even be selected for the Imperial Legion, though such ambitions were cut off by the Bloody Vote. This was further compounded by her mother's passing who died from grief shortly after. Now orphaned, Eliana resigned from the legion and returned home to help her uncle manage their lands.
Sexuality
Bi-Sexual
Employment
A few years after her first son was born, Eliana would join the legion at the age of seventeen. With her fathers connections, it is possible that Eliana could have been excused from service, but some suspect that she did so to get out of raising her son.
Intellectual Characteristics
As a centurion for several years, Eliana has led several expeditions across the border of the Bog River. This has made her quite experienced in tactics and hand-to-hand combat. In particular, she is knowledgeable of several fighting styles due to the makeup of her century which consists mainly of barbarian forces which taught her how to combine different fighting styles.
Aside from military life, Eliana takes an interest in understanding the different cultures of the empire, being a barbarian she is interested in how others deemed barbarians are like. Aside from that, she also has an interest in politics due to her father's political career.
Morality & Philosophy
Eliana’s morality centers around the Trepan Empire and her family. In the Zarnabam culture, loyalty is given to family and those who can provide for you. In her eyes, the empire has allowed her family to rise up to such a lofty position, therefore she believes that this idea should be spread. Anyone who serves the empire should be given such opportunities as well. It does not matter whether they are official citizens or allies.
However, while patriotic, she is not blind to the issues of the empire either. Corruption and discrimination are common issues within the empire and she often tries to fight them wherever she can.
Conversely, she is more than willing to fight anyone who opposes the Trepan Empire
Taboos
While she supports the good parts of the Trepan Empire, Eliana seeks to destroy those she views as negative. Things like corruption are her big enemies and the mistreatment of allies of the empire. Since she holds the Trepan Empire in high regard, she also opposes anything that can taint its reputation morally.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Eliana’s motivation goes down to the survival of the Trepan Empire, but also the enfranchisement of its fellow barbarians.
Virtues & Personality perks
Eliana is patriotic and willing to serve her country. She has dedicated herself to the improvement and understanding of the living conditions of other people.
Aside from the empire, she is devoted to her soldiers and family, sharing their struggles and doing her best to ensure their survival.
Vices & Personality flaws
Although knowledgeable, Eliana’s understanding isn’t infallible. She often sees things from a position of privilege and sometimes struggles to see things that many less fortunate are well aware of. Due to her patriotism, she comes to view the way of life as better than most without considering alternatives.
Another issue she has is with her son who she struggles to understand due to his deformity. Although she cares for him, she is inexperienced in raising him and often leads it to his nurses while focusing on her duty.
