In society, everything has its place.   Society, although ever changing, has it rules.   Unspoken, but followed, never written, but paraphrased.   People always think they know what goes on in the world because of the internet at their fingertips. Never questioning the source, always busy, skimming articles and videos, all the while posting virtual vigils whenever something happens, these people never gave much thought. Too busy to realize their mistakes, too foolish to assume they’re safe, when in reality, it was all an illusion.   Everywhere they go, every person they ever spoken to, could’ve been… one of them.   You’ll never see the red ones among the general populace. It’s not their nature. Their nature, to war against those who threaten their way of life, and only called upon when one starts.   The green ones only want to bring their brothers home and nothing else matters. Give them the names of those who’ve betrayed them in their former lives, and they’ll come for them, a promise.     The purples, you’ve spoken to them at museums, movies, book stores, and random internet forums. They may be cheery, they always have that smile on their faces, but rest assure they’ll just as much willing to end all who annoy them or get too close to the truth. Double, when lumped with their rivaling brothers, the blues.   The blues, in governments, always calm and collected, but always sharp as a knife. When one talks to you, there’s always a reason. They find random conversations without reason, irresponsible. Their time is precious and information even more.     They’re known the way they are because of the colours of their military articles.
The Colours of War.
You’ll only ever see a blue and purple out and about, never the greens and reds.   When they hide among the people, they wouldn’t normally wear their fatigues. However, if one had the eye to spot them, one can tell what colour a person is just by sight.   Blues wear their suits and due to their positions of power, nobody ever gives thought to a blue wearing his navy blue suit. It’s normalized, nobody ever looks at them twice. Not that’d it be wise.   Purples, their eccentric tendencies, often wear purple suits and dresses, whatever purple articles they found their fancy and carry lacquered walking canes. To people, they’re just eccentric or like the colour purple. To them, they’re wearing their articles of war and their canes are their weapons.   The Colours do what they must, for their All-Mother, mother to them all.
