Crystals of the Downs
Under the city of Nithrikmar lay the Crystal Downs three fields of crystal. Each field of crystal each field is a different color one green one red and one purple. Each color of crystal can also be used for different applications .The red crystals are great for use in conjunction with psionics. The green crystals can be used as a power source when properly applied. The purple crystals are most often used as phylactery for lichen and Demi-lich and also seem to have a strong connection to the undead in general.
The the crystals that grow in the Crystal Downs are are considered to be crucial to the economic culture of Nithrikmar. These crystals are sold to select buys directly and other through a channel of connections so they can't be traced back to Nithrikmar and reveal the cities true location.

Discovery
Thses crystals were first discovered by the Triumvirate after using psionics and magic of epic proportions to raise the oceanic massa that Stremberthal is built upon. It is speculated by some who have knowledge of the Triumvirate and their capabilities that they knew where these crystals were prior to the casting of their ritual.
Everyday use
These three types of crystals all have there individual specialized uses but they can also be found in various uniquely crafted items forged in the city of Nithrikmar.

Trade & Market
The Nine Necromancers only allow so many of these crystals to reach the open market the rest are sold through several channels so they cannot be traced back to the city of Nithrikmar.
Law & Regulation
Any Nithrikmaran caught stealing and selling the crystals are either destroyed on the stop or banned from the city. Only the Nine decide how to distribute these crystals of sale.
