The Chosen Stars: Earth, 2022

The year is 2022. Two years have passed since the “Trypticon Affair” in Miami. With the Devil’s Due Earth operations neutralized and the Raksha plot to expose the Cybertronians in hiding thwarted, plans to officially colonize the planet moved forward. In late 2021, the colony of Mission City was formally chartered by the Takara Planetary Ventures group, in a joint project with Autobot high command. Mission City has been advertised across Imperial space as a place for a new start, and has taken the odd move of advertising that Decepticons and their sympathizers will be welcome, too. Decepticon administrations have given the green light for visas to send their scientists to Mission City as well.   Mission City’s major employers are agriculture (a sizeable Lunabloom hydroponics farm), Mining for rare Earth metals (Handled by Drillbit Heavy Industry), and Research (A satellite campus of Boltax university, dedicated mainly to the study of Earth life and cultures). Also present within the colony is a substantial Energon synthesizer plant, and of course, Earth’s first Autobot Colonial Garrison.   The fledgling colony is not without its problems, however. Transformers had been living on Earth in exile well before Mission City was established, and many view this new arrival as an affront to their previous independence.
