Liberation Day
July 2nd, 267: the day the Concordance was founded, and Huitzli* was liberated. The Concordance may no longer be the dominant power, but the tradition of their founding lives on in parts of the galaxy.
History
The Ameselan Empire occupied Huitzli* from 141 to 267 - 126 years - before Concordia liberated it. In their long war with Amesela, the many nation states of Concordia* collapsed and reformed into a unified force, dedicated to victory. With Huitzli* liberated and restored, and with Ameselan FTL technology, the coming alliance was a natural choice. Huitzli* and Concordia* formed the Concordance.
The Concordance would go on to liberate system after system, on their crusade to destroy Amesela. Those systems too would join the Concordance on the warpath, and with Amesela defeated, would remain for another 600 years. Though the Concordance is no longer what it once was, many still celebrate the first, glorious victory.
