The Original Three.
The Founder: Bath the Giant.
Standing nearly 8'1 feet, this man was a giant. Some say that he actually was a giant, while other sources claim that he simply was a man with a mysterious disease that caused him to grow. Nonetheless, he was a man who could tear down buildings and leave villages deserted.
He married one of the icenymphs, in a ceremony mostly remembered by the death of the groom. Bath had locked himself away with his bride to consumate the marriage, but after several hours, his frozen body was discovered in a pool of blood... still steaming with heat and a foul smell of metal lingering in the cold air.
The Warmonger: Ashlon the Mad.
Baths only son, Ashlon had a long history of violence behind him. He, alone had the infamous reputation for slaughtering half a village just to prove that he had the guts to do so. Many believed he suffered from a condition commonly known as "Journeyman's Fever" which caused his brain to function in an abnormal way.
Ashlon had inherited his fathers imposing stature and used his skill in the art of swordmanship to slay dozens of threatening individuals. His hair had a glow of blue, which he had inherited through his mothers icenymph blood.
He met his maker at the Battle of Bloodshores, where he deliberately stabbed himself in the gut as a result of his illness having taken the last bit of his mind away from him.
The Peacekeeper: Erhun the Beautiful.
After the devastating impact the Battle of Bloodshores had on the family, Erhun decided to pull his troops out of every area in the world that seemed to be on the brink of war. He was a godfearing man who only eyes for his family and their wellbeing.
He travelled all across the land in search for a place where he and what was left of the family settle down after
The Second Line.
The Diplomat: Retilla of Castle Duur.
Erhun died without leaving an heir to take up the control of the family. Constant infighting between Erhun's wife and his newly found brother, meant that no one had expected anything of the scrawny girl who had appeared on their doorstep in the middle of the night.
Her appearance contrasted everything that the family valued. There was nothing womanlike in her whatsoever. The female part of the Cavillian family were known for there voloptous appearance which started to show at the age of 12. This girl was a tomboy, flat as a wooden board and well past 12.
But she had a keen eye for diplomacy and as soon as she had her foot in the families chambers she started to use the godgiven skills for diplomacy. It wasn't long before she had married Fiodor the imbecile brother of the recently deseased Erhun. With him she bore two sons and two daughters. Some rumours started to spread that Fiodor was not only imbecile, but also infertile, and therefore these children couldn't be legitimate. But the rumours soon died out and the acceptance of the offspring started to fester.
One of her most wellknown achievments were the signing of the Treaty of South Hill, in which she made peace with the inhabitants of the great hill near the Southern Academy which the had been at odds with for the last 20 years.
During the last days of Erhun, she had developed a loving affection for the elderly man. She admired him an took on his religion. She devoted herself fully to The Cult of the Journeyman and began to study the lore and sacred text which she had brought to her chambers at night. She was so absorbed in the texts that she decided to make the religion the moral compass for the family and therefore she called upon hundreds of workers from the western part of the world to build a shrine to The Journeyman.
A lot of the people in the north had admired the way in which the young girl had raised the crumbling remains of the family from the brink of extinction, to be the leading family in the north. But even the most succesfull tale has a snake.
Some of the deadliest snakes are sometimes within the family.
The Unspeakable: Suril the Desecrator.
In the years following the succesful reign of Retilla everyone saw a new beginning for the troubled family. Retilla and her 2nd husband, Myogar lived in the beautiful Castle Duur, a labyrinthic monument built upon the remains of an old abandonded settlement of Stonemen. But the joy was shortlived, and Retilla died suddenly before she and her husband had produced an heir to the throne.
