The Druids of Glasra

The Druids of Glasra are an order of mystic shamans that serve the lairds and chiefs of Caerbia and Eryia. They are known as magic-users, healers, priests, and judges. The order is controlled by a Mor'Druid, who is typically female, in reference to the mother deity, Danu; but there have been male Mor'Druids.  Children are chosen by the Mor'Druid at an early age to begin their training. A child being chosen is seen as a great honor among the Eryani and Caerni peoples. The child is allowed to keep in touch with their family as they grow older and continue their training. This is because of the Ancient Druids, who kept their recruits from their families and forbade attachments, were nearly wiped out by a dark wizard named Veiku, who was a member of the order until he got corrupted by an Arch Fae who used his lack of connection to his parents as a way to control him. Thus when the new order was formed by Aralyra, it was made that druids would have the option of having a connection with their families.   There are several ranks in the Druidic Order; the top most being the Mor'Druid who is the most powerful and wise of the druids. Below them are the four Ard'Druids. They each focus on each of the five elements with the Mor'Druid representing the Spirit Element. The next lowest rank are the Druichan. These druids are in charge of regions. Currently there are two Druichan , one of Eryia and Caerbia. There used to be six of the Druichan one for of the six major tribes of Eardland and Glasra. When Eardland was invaded by the Weigan peoples from the mainland, they adapted to the existing culture but brought with them new gods and festivals. It wasn't until the Trinitian Faith made it to Eardland, were the Druichan and druidism in general were banned due to the Church's belief that these practices were of evil.  The rank below the Druichan is the simple title of "Druid". Members of this rank are often found serving lairds or small townships, serving as a religious and legal figurehead of their domain. Before one becomes a full druid they must undergo a test or a rite of passage. Brentisi are put through this test after their fourteenth birthday, and should they pass, they are granted the rank of Druid. Hyffordai are the youngest of the order, and when they are are six they are chosen by a druid to become their apprentice or a Brentisi
