Lord Ashcombe

A noble born man, Ashcombe was born on a dark, moonless night. Growing up, his parents were too busy for him, and the servants avoided him as to avoid the potential wrath of Ashcombe senior. He frequently hung out with a group of young nobles who caused chaos around the castle and surrounding village. As the boys grew, this group of friends became a gang, untouchable by authorities save for from the strongest of crimes, as their status shielded them.

Ultimately, this gang amounted to little serious crime, save for a few muggings, and they evaded suspicion for anything greater. Why would these fine nobles commit any violent act, and anyway, the poor and homeless go missing all the time. Or so the guard thought.

By Ashcombe’s 18th year, all of the young nobles had moved on from the gang, and most forgot the cruelty they displayed therin. Ashcombe was one off the boys that never dropped the cruelty, as his servants knew quite well. Beatings, lashings, and the occasional disappearance weren’t surprising, or uncommon when Ashcombe was around. How he managed to get a wife mystifies many to this day, as did how he managed to keep her.
