Coarse Clot
Blood shed for bloodshed.
A smooth crimson orb, split through with thin, dark, branching streaks. In the center a small probiscus can barely be seen, as well as a small indent in a ring around the outside
When the Coarse Clot is used, it burrows into their arm, causing an immense pain (1d6 necrotic damage to the user) for a second. After this is over, make a constitution saving throw (DC 15), or else convulse rapidly, and uncontrollably, shooting blood out of your arm wherever the DM chooses. If you succeed, cover a 10ft x 10ft area in a thick, congealed blood that turns into spikes when walked over, dealing 2d6 piercing damage to a creature who starts their turn here, or moves into it. Add an additional d6 per square moved inside of the blood. Using it also ends the bleeding status effect.
Normally found in stirge nests, but also found and sold by perhaps brave, or foolish souls.
