Alchemical Tablets

Breathe your medicine

Many agree that potions, in general, taste abhorrent, like burnt ash mixed with fish scales or peppers, milk, and lemon. This is likely because many of the ingredients in potions themselves taste awful, and are often more overpowering than any artificial flavoring alchemists can add to them.

The solution alchemists came up with to deal with this issue is to make a heavily concentrated paste from ingredients, and spread an incredibly thin layer of this paste between two thin tiles. The effects of the potion are released by breaking the tile under the nose, and inhaling the dust that breaks off.

While the dust from these tablets has an awful smell and burns the nose, it is seen as preferable to potions, as the feelings last for much less time. The tablets are also easier to store, can’t be thrown up, and can be enchanted with runes for various additional effects.

Utility

Used as potions, the technology is often abused for drug use.

As alchemy, with less liquid. If liquids are necessary ingredients, simply boil off the liquid after adding it to the mixture.
