The Art of Magic

Magic is the product of mortal innovation. While many who worship gods see magic as an abhorrent imitation of Divine Arts, magic is actually much more powerful. Without the limits of divine domains and whims of a higher power, mages are free to build an arsenal of spells however they want. However, all magic comes at a cost, which is determined by the whims of creation. Payment can be done via cast times, years off one's life, stamina, psychological consequences or incantations of Eldritch Tongue and rituals.   In order to regulate this, a system was created to determine how many spells a mage can use per day. As their arcane fortitude grows, so does their amount of spells. This system attempts to keep consequences to cast times, rituals and stamina loss.

Utility

Can be used for anything aside from the ability to create new laws of nature or cosmos. However, spells come at the cost of incantations, cast times, rituals and stamina.
