Shard

A ruin, is what the humans would call it. A refuge, the exiled Elves would choose to name it. A new home, the optimists among them would even say. Shard is a piece of the now Fallen Heaven, having only landed a few centuries ago after floating off randomly in the sky during the chaos. When it crashed, the Forest Lord allowed its existence as it didn't disrupt the natural harmony of the forest. In fact, it even caused more foolish Hunters to journey into the woods, only for them to fall prey to the bestial denizens of the forest.   But recently, the Shard had awoken once again with strange arcane power. A mystical portal opened, one that was heavily damaged in the crash, but sparked to life nonetheless. Out from it, came a new people to the world. The Elves of the Forest ran from their former homeworld with the fanatical Wild Hunt on their heels. These desperate people are protected by the guardians of their people, the Falconers, and seek to rebuild a new home on this new and mysterious world they find themselves in.
