Logan crossroads
The group returned to meeting place. Loss and despair clung to their ankles causing a dredge zombie like movement. A few took a deep breath and attempted to turn on the ignition of the engine once more. Groans of resentment responded to their calls to regroup.
Meridian looked to her hero.
"Logan, we.."
His frosty glare gave her pause. He went into his office and slammed the door.
"What went wrong?" Zach blurted.
"They had an Eye on us." It just came out of Meridian like acid reflux. She felt the burn in her throat. Her pride had a price. She thought she was ready, she thought the visions were irrefutable and unchangeable. Now she understood the visions are truth but not always literal truth.
Like a Hallmark card expressing love in so many ways. the thrust of the card is simple truth. I love you or Happy Birthday. But why are there so many different cards? Because they are unique expressions of that message. Not all expressions or visions are meant to be movie reruns. She needs to merely understand the thrust of them, She was shown incredible peril and danger and that her group would overcome it, but the price was steep. If she had patience and perhaps prudence to warn Logan what horrible odds they were up against, they would have modified the plan to make the outcome better.
or perhaps things were supposed to go this way because the team has obtained critical information on the enemy.
They have an Eye.
