The Sigcawu People

Basic Information

Anatomy

These are creatures with four additional spider like appendages which act as a means to climb, attack or defend.

These 'limbs' can act like arms, and with enough strength, legs.

Their limbs can carry multiple times, as high as ten times, their body weight.

They’re able to create a sticky liquid webbing, from every one of their pores which can hold enough to carry many times their body weight. But with this he/she can stick and climb from, quite literally any angle.

They have a strong muscle core, despite their generally round forms.

The strength of the webbing their bodies are able to produce is stronger than steel. Because of this, this is a powerful unique and powerful commodity for and against the Sigcawu people.

Genetics and Reproduction

The focus on reproduction hangs on the woman, despite the fact that most Sigcawu families are patriarchal. She makes the choice on who fathers her children and she can produce many, many children.

In terms of cross breeding they are actually more able to cross breed than many other races, almost on par with humans, who are most able to cross breed than any other species.

Ecology and Habitats

Much like the Intaka, Black Air Raiders, they are inclined to go for high, altitudes.

They are inclined to small spaces. The more humid, the better.

There are two types of Sigcawu built of the city. They produce less webbing than field Sigcawu. They also are shorter, but with thinner hips, along with being more perceptible to the cold, living in densely populated cities.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have limb strength that allows them to carry unnatural weight.

Even though they produce webbing, their skin also naturally, and on command, produces anti webbing, which allows them to naturally destroy webbing.

Motion sickness is not really a thing with their race as they can balance and re-balance themselves almost instantaneously. Easily able to hang upside down and almost always land on their feet.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

First Names:

First names are generally fun. It’s common for them to have literally no meaning.

Last names:

Last names are not just last names, they are law. They cannot be changed, once assigned. They are a contract a Sigcawu member has with another. They are a call to arms, a call to war and a call for unity and defence. Once people of a name are called. All people to the fifth name are to respond. Otherwise, you have committed a crime against your people.

Major Organizations

Sigcawu marriages and families.

Sigcawu marriages are points of honour as not only does the father’s family name be given to you. The tribal names of the last five families are tied to you.

You father's last name, first.
Your mother's last name, second
Your fathers, father's last name third.
Your father's mother's last name fourth.
Your mother's mothers last name fifth.

Gender Ideals

Gender Ideals are a mixed bag and appear to be counter intuitive.

Women are what are needed to build families but will often be thrown into the front lines.

They are generally larger than the men and do the heavy lifting, mostly because they have to.

The men are the builders, the designers, and the weavers while the women are adventurers and the vanguard.

Courtship Ideals

A man should always look for an intelligent, adventurous and extremely talented women.

Relationship Ideals

A talented and experienced woman, capable of making money and making children.

The ideal man is industrious. It's not enough to have money. It's about making the best of the money, to make a home efficient, effective and most of all, stable.

Children are raised to be both strong, brilliant and extremely creative.

History

Sigcawu history is one of separation and individualism.
Every person is an individual with the freedom to make their own choices and to strive out on their own. In their earliest years this was an act of bravery to strive out, but a balance was made between individualism and teamwork.

To honour that historic pride in individualism and diversity, families will have their own ever evolving banners as each generation will want to make their own mark if they do not simply combine and grow to banners that look wholly new.

It's considered a part of Sigcawu history that they were a part of Boko-ni-bo-pha mountain range from the birth or evolution of their species. Boko-ni-bo-pha considered their heritage and their point of birth. Where the first tribes were born from.

The most ancient of tribes, working together and as a ritual, they’d break away as a family and travel to unknown lands. This bought forth great diversity and growth. Some returned with amazing stories, many never returned. Many united or were absorbed into each other, forming no kingdoms but intricate networks.

This allowed them to defend themselves creating armies, quickly to defend their honour, stunning their enemies with oceans of banners.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Their strongest inter species relations connection are between themselves and the Black Air Raiders.

This comes primarily due to their need for the Needles from Boko-Ni-Bo-Pha.

Second comes their relations with humans, this is due to the humanity’s massive numbers, forcing them to build upwards to accommodate.
