The Jokai Species in The Black Thorne Continent | World Anvil

The Jokai

The Jokai is a highly intelligent and poisonous creature. A perfect foil for the Ufele who have near-impenetrable skin like steel.

Their bites are extremely poisonous. Though their poison is not exclusive to their bites, the danger lies in every part of them, even their fur sweat. Their most dangerous weapon is their ability to turn their poison into a liquid and fire it out of their mouths as a gas.

The poison is not corrosive but is self-replicating, joining with anything in the body, corrupting water red and white cells; turning them purple and melting it, making the body weaken as it dissolves. The dissolve coming from the vessels boiling in their muscle fibre.

Those even slightly exposed will die. There is no cure from Jokai, poison at least the type exposed from with the Jokai's mouth. The refining of poison is done through their breath and teeth, without that the chances of survival are slightly above absolute zero.
