The first to be offered the opportunity are Grounds Keepers, though the number of those willing to take the opportunity tend to fluctuate due to the high death rate.Massacres
There have been many cases where families and entire expedition teams with over a hundred souls disappearing due to the sheer danger, rescue parties only finding trinkets, toys.Settlers are given land privilages and access which is normally impossible to get as border control in Sedibeng is some of the tightly and most strictly enforced as multiple enemies lay at multiple gates.
So this is a means for families to form at the risk of death and annihilation. But if they last, they're good in the eyes of which ever God Tree they are in.
But it only applies to the God Tree they're in and need to marry into permission or earn permission through good deeds or general good work over time. Once earned they have the right to move around.
Lasting the distance is an achievement and earns additional land rights, riches and the right to be a full traveling citizen.
