Hlalumisa Ndlovu

Hlalumisa Ndlovu

Hlalumisa, as a young, fresh Prime had to follow through with her choice to end their people's time upon the lower branch layer was up. It was the best time, the effects of the war had proved costly and the shortages and pending risk of a culling meant that an action no matter what needed to be made, it was an unwritten rule that the Prime be at the base branch, the last to reside. With a disaster at her back, she too followed the tradition and put everything she could maintain, making sure all of the Houses, including those of her own blood remake their vows, to her rule and the laws she both made and kept her. But where?

The plan was to move South, consolidate with the very promising and very efficient and very useful Nokuthula Bantu who would be willing to be compliant to her goals. The Heads of the Nobu-Ganga was already on their side, Stembiso Nobu-Ganga was absolutely in love with her.

But something was wrong. Her mother was all game but it wasn't right, the core of Grounds Keepers were based in North Sibini. There was money and resources pouring in, but the money didn't linger. There was a mountain of work pouring in and it was creating its own supplier chains, Golden Eagles were the clincher, speaking to their clans, there was a ratio of Golden Eagles who'd at least once set foot in even the Flatlands was astronomical. It was done, at the very least she had to be a part of it. But her mother, despite retiring early was still pulling strings. It put enough of a delay her ambitions as the ground work was put up for her arrival in the South.

And that was when the news hit, they had missed their deadline. The Culling was to begin.

The failed war led to the self-imposed exile of their king, the Quengeba Prime of their Empire. A good method to keep the terrifying as a while intact even if the new king was a quiet teenage king.
But the teenage king was at the very least was trying moving well and making a mends where he could. If only she could be so lucky. She had a problem as her mother had technically already bowed out and now there was a new head that needed to roll. There was only one problem.

There was no one in line behind her and her children were just too young to be useful in anything. She couldn't trust her prime hood to others or pass it onto her child. She had to stay a Prime and the compromise come in the shape of her top vassals who'd give up sons on their side as nobility.

But to Hlalumisa's surprise, it was her mother who'd somehow overridden her and made promises she had had learned about and the Ndlovu, the Bantu and The Nobu-Ganga House would be put behind and The Ndlovu-Sana House who'd not made long term agreements with The Ndlovu House. But The Ndlovu-Sana House had kept their distance, doing their own quiet work, leaving them as a mystery. The targets had changed, the families set quotas for all Great Houses, to be passed down.

She could not back out, and watched as Great Houses made plans, 'adopting' children in order to give them out while the Ndlovu-Sana and their banners passed up their children in order to fill their quotas. It was a dramatic affair, people screaming, people killed, arrested, dragged away by their loved ones. It would have been better to have died in war. The consequences were too severe.

So she split formally with the form Prime who would be sent away from the Prime God Tree and stood alone as a young leader.

It was a lot, but not enough, the animosity was severe her foothold within North Sibini was a joke.

Every location had Ndlovu in the North Sibini was her cousin, Jwayeleni Ndlovu, an antogonist to The Ndlovu-Sana House, who'd been using faith in order to garner negative attention. And if it had proven effective, she might have been able to take it seriously, but all it had done was loosening their hold on the hearts and minds of the Grounds Keepers which as where most of a noble House's power lay.

They didn't have the land, the people and the eyes. With the money not paid, she experimented and dumped a crazy amount of money securing land for herself and bringing in more from the other lands. She was failing in getting the support of the people, but their support would have to wait. A secure fort came first.

Thousands upon thousands of Chui Yetsimbi entered North Sibini and to her shock, they were able to easily absorb her people even getting people to make permanent residents. The supply lines were incredibly robust, far too robust, pack animals, work animals, tools, resources and on it went.

It was absolutely fascinating, but it was also okay, it meant their work easy.

But it meant she could cleanly do her tour of duty. She could travel, as the new Prime she would travel to every tree, and survey what was hers.

Midway through her duty, she even joined the teen king in order to maintain a vision of strength.

It had happened so fast, but across the land people were brought in to celebrate the arrival of the Prime to North Sibini, what would be her new home, likely until her death, all as the Prime with hands reaching all across Sedibeng and beyond. But things had not gone the way she'd imagined. The Ndlovu-Sana House had come to the celebration and even offered great tribute to them all, her children included.

Despite how well meaning it may be. It, for the first time was a moment she felt threatened. But she could not strike out, and she would not strike out. There were plans to be made and she needed to stop feeling like an outsider in her own tree. It was driving her insane. She investigated every single individual sale and followed the money.

It was the new year and a name she did not know was glued to her mind. The young daughter, the mad scientist, the sisterhood secretly ruling over God's Window, money would flow in and flow out, and things were stunning clean and efficient and a few of her vest spies had gone out. She now had a foothold on what was running underneath North Sibini, who was giving them a cut on everything. Only it wasn't a crime and organisation; there were a few of those too. No, the connection was using them but wasn't a park, they fed some off them so much, they existed just for them.

The Jokai Attack

It was a simple day, one line no other. The Prime had a penchant for having people sing to her. Refreshing music could balance the mind, and having The Lovani singing to her was a treat until news that the core of her nightmares, the secret beneath it all. Thato Ndlovu-Sana was suddenly on everyone's lips.

One of the biggest events in the history of Sedibeng had just survived a Jokai attack and multiple doses of poison plus a massive supply of gold that a ninth born was passed over without a penny stolen, she didn't need it because she just had so much already.

Time was up for the Prime.
The shadow had just had light shone upon her. It was an opportunity and she'd revolutionized the world as the Chui had ever known it. And the first move would be to talk to someone.

Mental characteristics

Education

Hlalumisa is horribly intelligent, cunning and goal orientated. Intellectually, she doesn't have a bias against social standing as she wants to be the best and have the best, most intelligent people in the Thorne, no matter who they are.

She's a strong believer in the sanctity of the House and the House's strength over its purity, which was something her father held in far higher esteem. This is a source of contention between her and her mother, who feels that her father made a mistake in making their daughter the prime Matriarch.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

She knows a person can breed talent, she can't fully comprehend evolution but knows some traits are born, the people of The Ndlovu House in Sedibeng have built principals which, in secret, have been applied by Hlalumisa, measuring and testing her entire family and servants; bribing doctors to do what she wants.

Her tests and experiments are a secret she'd kill to protect, so how stunning was it to find out that another House just might be experimenting and getting positive results.
