The Black Bow's made from Brimstone Lingering Wood. A high value, and rare wood that is extremely hard to collect but if one manages to collect the wood, the earning far outdoes the cost of time, energy and risk to life.

To create a Black Bow is to be extremely rich.

To use a Black Bow is to be extremely deadly.

Brimstone Lingering Wood is from an evolved tree that has developed to withstand low moisture areas and temperatures that would boil most liquids and burn wood.

The wood of the tree survives well and thrives in the Brimstone Plateau, growing quick and plateauing for dozens of years, becoming as hard as steel but extremely flexible for only a few before the wood bubbles on the inside. Those bubbles become seeds before the entire tree dies and burns up. After burning up thousands of seeds float in the fire to grow elsewhere.

They're harvested during the plateau period before the seedling period, which destroys the wood and is carved up. The process is so complicated that the cost is high.

Process

The process uses a great amount of the wood to create as few as four bows for a full tree.

These are generally made into different types of bow, the most difficult type being the wafer-thin but extreme effective Black Bow

The strength to power ratio is so intense that a weakly could fire as hard as a giant creature with any other bow and it is very hard to break.
