The Bent World (The Crimson Books)

"The Crimson Books" is a dark med-fan RPG taking place in a world close to our Early to Late Middle-Age. It is single player orientated; disjointed campaigns joining wandering player together for a few sessions before going back venturing ever forth! The end-goal would be to shape a world out of the actions of a community of players.   The players' main characters will be members of a monster-hunters Order called the Herzhi'n. Intense apprenticeship, constant training and magical alterations brought them to the very limit of the human condition. As such they bestowed upon themselves the role of "Keepers Of The Balance"; this mystical aspect of the Order keeping them from turning into blind magicling-slayers.   During the past centuries however, the world has changed faster than it ever had in recorded history ; two recent monotheistic and dogmatic religions have risen and empowered mankind with divine authority, science and technology are setting the foundation of new societies, books and maps are turning local histories into History... The Dawn Of Time is upon completion, and magic; this dangerous scion of the dark Night Before Time, isn't desired nor tolerated anymore. Magiclings, be they friendlies or monsters, slowly fade from existence into tales and legends. Some however, remain; unknown, unseen, uncheked...   Relic of darker Ages, scorned magic-wielders, both feared and hated wanderers, the Herzhi'n are yet heroes on the very edges of the maps, in these "Terrae Incognitae" that they boldly explore. Will you be a hidden agent, safeguarding humanity from monsters, while accused to be one yourself? Will you proudly bear your Order insigna, relying on your might and magic to keep you alive? Or will you dive into The Fringe in search for ancient wisdom and elder threats, smiling at the "Hic Sunt Draconnis" on the map?
