Divine Autumn Character in The Bennorian Chronicles | World Anvil

Divine Autumn

Divine Autumn is the primal force of achieving one's peak. When things are at their full ripeness and ready to burst, but if they go any longer they start to rot. The elderly are celebrated in autumn for their wisdom. Crafters and artisans of all kinds pay honor to Autumn when the results of their hard work come to completion. A chair painstakingly crafted, a song diligently practiced, a painting labored over for countless hours all pay homage to Autumn as the fruits of their creators work.
Like the other Divines, Autumn is not personified by the people of Bennoria, simply recognized as the Divine season. Autumn is when the last harvest is brought in and all begin to prepare for the long winter to come. This is the time to prepare, the time to share one's bounty, to store and stock up. The evening twilight when one finishes their work before retiring for the night.

The beginning of Autumn is celebrated with the Feast of Melodies. It is a large craft fair or market where artisans bring out all the items they have been working on all summer to sell.

Harvestmeet is the apex of Autumn's power and a time to celebrating the final harvest of the year.

The Festival of the Last Hunt is the end of Autumn and the beginning of winter. A large hunt is organized, usually to bring down larger full grown prey, the kill is divided amongst the community.
