Black Armada
The Black Armada is a terrifying and secretive pirate fleet that flies the flag of a red skull surrounded by tentacles on a black field.
The Armada was formed several years ago by a break-away faction of the Hold of the Sea Princes, who refused to serve under Shepherd Hammandaturian, deeming him weak and too cautious. Hammandaturian has done his best to keep this break-away fleet secret as he does not want to encourage further defections.
The Armada has grown considerably over the last few years and has recruited several new captains under the overall command of Sea King Tentrix. These include several famous and feared names, including Bartholomew Blackdagger, Captain Scummer, Dhurge, The Storm Maiden, Drowned Wulfgar, Desecratus Profanis, and Jarl Bluebeard.
Under Tentrix's command the Armada has begun trading in that oldest and most foul of commodities - slaves. They have been working closely with the Sahuagin in order to obtain a large number of humanoid slaves, though for what purpose remains unknown.
The location of the Armada's home port is unknown, but rumours say that they lair in a ‘city of dead ships’ , somewhere in the islands off the coast of the Drowned Jungle. The exact strength of the fleet is likewise unknown.
