House Skyfall
Overview
First records of this house appeared during the Rhoynar Invasion of Westeros. The first known myth of the family is they orirignally had lighter hair, so light in fact that the invading Rhoynar thuoght they were Valyrians and attempted to attack them. This attack did not destroy the house, but it forever lead there to be a myth that the house is actually from Old Valyria, though they strangely never had dragons. During Aegon's Conquest the family kept out of the war, instead during that time a Maester by the name of (( TO BE DETERMINE)) gained a lot of favor for the family as he was able to write several books about Old Valyria and his contributions is what most of Westeros now turn to for contemporary Old Valyrian sources. It was during the Blackfire Rebellion that things again turned to the worst for the family. They had been split down the center and during the combat on the Red grass field the brothers, father, and sons all fought against each other. None who entered the battle left. The only remaining heir was three years old and his mother ((TO BE DETERMINED)) instilled several traditions that made it that women in the family were able to do what they needed to without standng for the morals of the Seven. After the near distruction of the house, House Skyfall started to close its gates to visitors. The amount of rumors that the family had become reclusives was only stoked when the War of the Usurper begun. Men from house Targaryen and Baratheon came to court favor with the small house, but both of them were turned away at the gate. Most of the family stayed out of the war. All of them accept one. ((Laemarr's Father LF)) went against his family's wishes to remain out of the war and he sided with Rhagar, his reasons are unknown at this time. What is known is LF joined Rhagar Targaryen by himself, and was found on Dragonstone by Stannis Baratheon. When he was brought before the newly Kinged Robert Baratheon he was asked where the children Visery's and Daenerys were. LF had removed his own tongue and was unable to tell anyone where the children were or why he was alone on Dragonstone when the army came. He was exicuted, being called a traitor to the crown. Before he was killed a messanger would have arrived to House Skyfall with LF's sword. The Sword has been passed down for generations though it is a ceremonial sword only, it has never carried a sharp edge. It is unknown why he was carrying the blade to Dragonstone. The messanger vanished as soon as the sword was in the Lord's hands.Recent History
After King Robert Baratheon took over the crown he made sure to get all of the Seven Kingdoms in line. That of course did not mean House Skyfall had gotten anymore open than before. Infact they tended to only allow visitors to come to their port and no further into their lands. A year after King Robert took the throne young Lord Jespur Skyfall was seen taken from port one day. While he was gone the family did not turn to the newly crowned lord, instead they turned to each other to look for the missing Lordling. He did not return to them for two years. When he did, he has stories about Essos, about the crew he lived on, and about wicked Red Priests who tried to sacrifice him for whatever magic lay in his blood. Two more years after the eventful kidnapping and return the old Lord Skyfall, Jaspur and his sister Saeryn's father caught a horrible cough that did not leave him. After a week he passed away in his sleep and Lord Jaspur at the age of 20 took the house seat as Lord Skyfall.House Stats
