Pots of Fire

Pots of fire are unique, throwable weapons which make use of highly concentrated flame oil. This flame oil, so combustive, explodes and ignites with the proper application of force. When used in a pot of fire, It is contained within a small, handheld ceramic jar that is sealed tight and is usually made from clay. When thrown, the impact shatters open the pottery and ignites the flame oil within causing a small explosion that scatters the fire as well as the ceramic shards. This both sets nearby objects ablaze and causes damage to nearby individuals both from burns and from the pot of fire's shrapnel. Pots of fire were first made by the Cabal of the Black but were quickly reversed engineered by other organisations in Thripia such as the Guilds of Coin. Extremely large pots of fire, sometimes called vases of fire, are often used to destroy ships in the defense of the city. However, for civilian use, pots of fire have been illegal under both the Dynasty Kings and the Wise Council, only being available on the black market.
