The Audacity (Ship)

Appearance

Exterior

The Audacity is your classic retro-futuristic rocket ship. She has 3 steel fins each with holes to keep her light, a steel main nozzle with movable thrusters, and a steel IFI antenna. Her hull is painting with Obtrusive Orange, a color that has been outlawed due to its blinding glow. Minor body damage from Xan flying her through a close silo ceiling.

Interior

Level 1: The interior of the main floor which includes the living room and control loft has back-lit orange plastic walls, orange shag carpet, and a conversation bit with an old orange couch, beat-up wooden coffee table, and ancient TV. In the living room but outside of the conversation pit, there is a hover table with two hover chairs overlooking one of three portholes. The viewscreen is a large screen above the living room in the control loft which houses the console.   Level 2: The medibay is your typical, clinical white medical bay and has the only shower left on the ship after the wormhole incident. Beyond the medibay, the hold is a dark, shelf lined space that Xan's ransacked. The holodeck is also on this level, but it's busted. May will eventually get around to fixing it.   Level 3: Eaten by the wormhole, originally had five nice bedrooms for the ship's crew.   Level 4: "The Basement" A dark, uncomfortable place which houses the stable side of a miniature wormhole. The other side changes at random.   Level 5: Engine room, fuel tank, and water tank

Flying the ship

The "Button Which Typically Made The Ship Go" is frequently used. This is the ship's autopilot and represents the easiest way to fly the ship.   The Audacity has a lockable hyperdrive lever. When in hyperdrive, the ship is difficult to control so setting a pre-programed flight path is always recommended.   There is a manual setting which allows the most control over the ship and its thrusters. This is typically used for racing with occasional hyperdrive jumps for the more experienced racers.
