The Astral Codex

The Earth as we know it is only one of many Worlds in the multiverse. Each World, or Plane, have different governments, are home to different species, and supply different resources to inter-dimensional trade. These Planes are:     1. The dark plane of ice 2. The dark plane of technology (Earth) 3. The plane of death 4. The plane of stone 5. The plane of trees 6. The plane of sky 7. The plane of mountains 8. The plane of fields   It is only possible to travel between these planes from specific points on each plane, and only through the use of powerful magic. In fact, it is so difficult to travel between the planes that on some of them, called the dark planes, the existence of planes other than their own is unknown.   All magic was once wild and untamed, the rules of which were unknown to anyone. However, we will always seek to understand that which is unknown to us, and we have uncovered the secrets and laws of astral magic, which draws on the strength and properties of constellations for powerful effects. Our understanding of this magic has led to the creation of several offshoot magic system, including astral wielding, astral branding, and starsiphoning, all of which have advanced civilizations in ways unimaginable before their discovery.   The multiverse is filled with wonder, magic, and life, but also danger and darkness. The history and culture of each plane and species is rich with both conflict and innovation. There is still so much that we don't understand, so much more to discover! The future is filled with both triumph and great peril, and the past holds the keys to overcoming the approaching challenges.
