The Rise of the Humans

The following was repeated, simultaneously, from one Tengu, Elven, Orcish, Kobold, Human, Dwarf, Aasimar (Human), Tiefling (Kobold), Strix, and Kitsune Shaman or Soothsayer.

The Humans Shall Rise.   They will take the Tree from the Elves.   They will strike down the Orcs.   They will Revel in our Blood.   They will leave none standing before them.   Their enemies will suffer.   They belong on the Tree.
Their reign will be long and kind.   They shall show mercy to all other beings.   They will not show this mercy to the One Other.   They shall cast their mortal enemies into the pit.   They belong on the Tree.
3090.   They belong on the Tree

Unsurprisingly, this caused much fear amongst the Elven-Orcish union, and humans have been closely monitored ever since. Many humans have written this prophecy in their homes, as a reminder of their bright future. Other races, especially those with Soothsayers potent enough to hear the incantation, were quick to either distance themselves from the Humans or form even deeper alliances.   For the Elves, distance continued to be the only answer. The date of 3090 is far from now for many races. But not for the Elves; that is a mere blink for them.

Humans on the Arengold Tree

Ever since their creation, Humans were placed into slavery by the Elves. After 1500 years of subjugation, their violent upheaval and escape to the Northern Roots caused the Elves to beg Filli for control over the race once more. The upheaval barred the Humans from climbing the Arengold Tree, since they were considered too "savage" by the Elves. However, the Humans are actually quite complex and vibrant. While their technology is far behind the usual for a race their age, they have many different tribal traditions, dances, holidays, and religions; they are the only race that deeply cares for all 5 Gods, while worshipping none of them. Humans are massively threatening to Elves and Orcs, but no other races. Humans are actually in great relationships with Strix, who live at the top of the tree, and the various Root races that scuttle about. Their only enemies, the Elves, fear this great relationship, since that means their enemies hold a significantly better grasp on diplomacy than they do.
