The Hell Brigade

"The assassination of the human warchief should be simple. Trivial. Trivial!"   "We understand, my sir. I'm sorry."   "No, sorry will not do it. Not this time. What happened?"   "We... We were distracted, sir."   "Distracted... We gave you exactly one goal. How were you distracted?"   "I... I do not wish to say. I would lose my hon-"   "Stop pooping from your mouth. Talk like an Elf."   "... Sir, we were stopped by their Hell Riders."   "Hell Riders..."   "Aye. They flew in and blocked our arrow."   "Those... Hell Riders. They are..."   "Humans on... Hellwasps. Yes."   "Tiny. Shrunken. Humans. On. Bees."   "Yes. Yes my sir. I'm sorry my sir."   "I see. My most elite assassins, taken down by simple hornets. I don't even know what to say to you."   "Please say nothing, sir. I will go to the Treehearth myself."   "No. That's for dangerous criminals. I'm pretty sure that's not what you are."

The Hell Brigade

The Hell Brigade are a group of Human Druids who ride Hellwasps, a dangerous and lethal demonic wasp that flies through the sky. Hellwasps are large, with powerful poison, and thus are extraordinarily deadly for basic individuals, and thus many will avoid them. However, alone, they do next to nothing to Heroic characters, and are largely ignored or slapped away. So, when these wasps are controlled by nearly invisible humans, they can become a force to be reckoned with, as their demonic power to animate corpses causes the Hellriders to become shockingly potent bodyguards.
The demonic linking of the Hellrider requires a powerful soul, willing to dedicate their life to the protection of the Human Chieftain. The Hellrider ritual takes about the same gold as required for summoning a minor demon, in order to summon the Wasp and bind the Hellrider's soul to it. Then, the Hellrider spends one year training with the Wasp to ensure that they are useful as a bodyguard; flight training, infiltration, reconnaissance, and Druid spellcraft. As the Hellwasp grows with it's Rider, it can learn basic body control, revival mechanics, and more that it can usually only perform while in it's Swarm.
The Hellriders are not well-known outside of Human circles, and are not considered to be a good thing; even amongst the Hellriders, their service is considered to be a necessary evil. That being said, they are insanely effective bodyguards, and their service has expanded to include protecting Human diplomats on their way to trade negotations, and even protecting wealthy human blacksmiths as they collect materials.
