The Flying Machine

Introducing The Flying Machine

Inspired by the rare Winged Elephant, the Flying Machine uses a combination of wind magic and long, feathered wings to glide along air!

Constructed by the genius minds in the secret gnome village of A-Torra, this device will save all Filli's souls who can no longer walk over the Arengold Tree's tall roots.

For the minor cost of extraordinary artwork, you can get a Flying Machine for your own tribe! Help your old, young, sick, or otherwise disposed forever!

The Gnomish Town of A-Torra

Gnomes are natural tinkerers, even in the realm of the Arengold Forest. However, due to the size of roots, they are very rarely seen in tribes together, preferring to have the help and protection of taller races.

A-Torra changes this perception. Located just west of the Brambles, this primarily underground tribe lives on the sustenance of nearby plants and builds fantastic devices using metals found down there. Using their own ingenuity and the aid of Filli's blessings, they have consistently created fantastic inventions.

Only recently have A-Torra's citizens began marketing their products for a larger audience. The Flying Machine is interesting to many. However, A-Torra's adjacency to the Brambles means that it is exceptionally difficult for any tribe to realistically acquire their products.

The Inventor of the Flying Machine

Tobias Alchontra and his partner, Maria Alchontra, are the proud people accredited for the machine. Both Tobias and Maria lost the ability to move their legs at a young age, and thus were almost locked into the town of A-Torra.

The Flying Machine was a combination of Tobias and Maria's love for wildlife and a good wish. Their mastery of both wind magic and the build of the Flying Elephant has allowed for the creation of flying machines that can carry more than just a few tribe members at a time. The Alchontras use them to

Many have condemned their monetization of Filli's gift to them, but she has made absolutely no sign that they should stop. Their sales of the Flying Machine has made them the owners of some of the greatest artwork in the Arengold Forest, which they humbly give away to their tribe.

Current Spread of the Flying Machine

Only larger tribes have access to the Machine, as the art cost is quite steep. As such, only 12 Flying Machines exist, and only major tribes have access to a single one of them. The Elven Capital, for instance, has 3 machines for use by required audiences.
