Bon Bon Consumption

The Orkia are known as assassins.
But they always must try their own poison.
At their coming-of-age, an Orkia must complete their training by ingesting 1 dose of Bon Bon Mist, the powder that the Orkia use for assassinations.
They are induced into a restful coma. When they awaken, they are finally able to say whether or not they can take someone else's life, put them to sleep forever.
Almost all Orkia end up taking up the blade, to prove themselves to their family, and to protect their oaths.
The rare few that are unable to bear the dream are known as the Exiled Ones.
They are kept within their tribe, but are thought to have lost Filli's blessing.
The life of an Orkia is difficult, but the life of the Exiled One is constant service, in the hopes that one day, they are able to prove that they – and their tribe – are strong enough to do what must be done.

Primer: The Orkia

The Orkia is a tribe of Orcs born in the northwestern Arengold forest, near the Human tribes. They are a noble race of individuals with a heavily enforced code of ethics and conduct. They seem robotic to other races, as many Orkia act almost exactly the same.

Their particular brand of chivalry makes them extremely potent mercenaries. They never hold grudges and value the lives of their allies above their own. As they are also potent combatants who weave shadow amongst themselves, they are incredible assassins.

The Bon Bon Flower

This simple flower grows only in the Orkia lands in the Arengold Forest. When crushed, it produces a fine powder that induces a deep sleep with minor respitory issues. The Orkia have inflused the flower with Filli's magic, making it less painful for the lungs but more potent at causing sleep.

Orkia and Bon Bon Mist

Bon Bon is the preferred poison of choice for the Orkia. As it does not do much damage to the target, the Orkia may send their victim into a deep, restful sleep before ending their lives. They see this as exceptionally humane, and the best way to do their job without risking unnecessary bloodshed.
